IX - the Hermit
+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+

A grey-bearded man, perhaps St Francis of Assisi, stands in a dark forest with a deer at his side. He holds a lantern, but it gives off little light. A grey cat stalks a quail.

My Interpretation: Know thyself. Reflection, contemplation and self-acceptance. Introversion and solitude. Take care not to become too detached from the world around you. (Reversed: Stubborness, loneliness and inability to communicate)

Edit notes to self: This card is similar to the Rider-Waite card in many respects, more than my original version. I've used the common medieval theme of St Francis, as it's appropriate for the meaning of this card. Still to do - pretty happy with it.
